
Rebecca Poage grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri and attended Central High School. She achieved her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri Western State University. Following graduation, she moved to Columbia, MO where she worked at the Women's and Children's Hospital in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She very much enjoyed her time in Columbia but was anxious to get back to the Kansas City area to be closer to family and friends. She continued her NICU career at St. Luke's on the Plaza before ultimately deciding she wanted to gain some outpatient experience and worked as a patient care coordinator at The University of Kansas Health System in the pediatric clinic. There, she found her passion for working in an outpatient clinic, which drove her to pursue an advanced practice degree in that setting.
Rebecca graduated from The University of Central Missouri with a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is board certified. She very much enjoys how her role as a family nurse practitioner which allows her to connect with patients and families of all ages and backgrounds. She aims to work with each patient to develop an individualized and evidenced-based approach to promote heath and prevent disease.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Alex, son Davis, daughter Mia, and their two golden retrievers named Ollie and Lillie. Together they enjoy taking long trail walks, playing at the park, going to local sporting events and traveling. In her free time, she also enjoys baking, crafting, and hosting gatherings at their home.
